AmberJack is small by design. You work with senior engineering judgement early, when decisions are cheapest and most consequential.
We map users, constraints, edge cases, data shape, regulation, and failure modes before choosing architecture.
Information architecture, data models, API boundaries, and interface flows come before production code.
Strict TypeScript, static-first pages where possible, tested integrations, observable services, and code the next engineer can reason about.
Deployment, documentation, handover, and maintenance posture are part of the work, not a cleanup phase after launch.
Gqeberha / South Africa
AmberJack was founded by Grant Vine in 2017 in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). The studio’s track record spans payment infrastructure, gaming platforms, biometric access control, an automotive AI product, and privacy-by-design healthcare prototype work.
It is not an agency built around handoff theatre. It is a software studio for clients who care how the system is reasoned about, built, and sustained.
